Rebecca Nowlen

Rebecca Nowlen is an educator with over twenty five years of experience working for equity in our communities. In her early days as a high school English teacher, pioneered the AVID program at her high school, fostering academic excellence and college readiness for all students. After first experiencing co-ops as the mother of two children, Rebecca directed a parent-cooperative nursery school for twelve years. Rebecca has been a member of CCPPNS since 2008, serving as its secretary for a decade before assuming the role of president. Her commitment to holistic parenting approaches is evidenced by her certification as a Hand in Hand Parenting instructor and a consultant on Peace Coaching, advocating for inclusive, connected, and supportive homes learning environments. Currently, Rebecca channels her passion for education into teaching adults and collaborating with non-profit support agencies in Marin County, where she continues to inspire positive change and foster lifelong learning opportunities.
